It’s Christmas Eve and young Clara (Francesca Hayward) and her enchanted nutcracker doll (Alexander Campbell) are swept away on a magical journey from the family living room to the Kingdom of Sweets. Tchaikovsky’s sumptuous score, Julia Trevelyan Oman’s gorgeous stage designs and The Royal Ballet’s captivating dancing - including a sublime pas de deux for the Sugar Plum Fairy (Lauren Cuthbertson) and her Prince (Federico Bonelli) – makes for a charming and magical experience.
