Multiple studios have already rescheduled films in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Still, this week brought a major overhaul to the 2020 release calendar with new confirmed dates for highly-anticipated films from Disney, 20th Century, Paramount, Sony and Warner Bros in the U.S., with some films moving entirely to 2021.
Although release dates may differ slightly for Australian audiences, these announcements give some sense for when we might expect to see films and audiences return to cinema screens. Such films include Wes Anderson’s “The French Dispatch”, Patty Jenkins’ “Wonder Woman 1984” and Marvel’s next instalment “Black Widow”.
