It’s year 1901. After a daring escape from a mental asylum, Józef Piłsudski “Ziuk” again leads the underground Polish independence movement. Uncompromising on the battlefield, in his private life he is torn between two women – his wife and his lover. Considered a terrorist by conservative members of the Polish Socialist Party, Piłsudski together with his closest associates will not stop at anything to achieve his goal: independent Poland. As 1914 approaches, “Ziuk” sees new chances to achieve the impossible objective. Piłsudski is a historical drama, a passionate romance, and above all a true story of lesser known aspects of the future Marshal’s life.
