In April 1970, Paul released his first solo album McCartney alongside a press release that stunned the world: The Beatles were no more. Asked what he would do next, Paul answered simply - grow up. Retreating with his wife Linda to a remote farm in Scotland, he raised a family while confronting the reality of making music on his own. Out of isolation and uncertainty came a bold new beginning: Wings, first with Linda, then with an ever-evolving lineup, and a sound entirely his own.

Featuring previously unseen archival and home footage, Linda McCartney’s intimate photography, and interviews with Mick Jagger, Chrissie Hynde, Sean Ono Lennon, Mary and Stella McCartney, all surviving Wings members, and of course Paul himself, Man on the Run reveals this pivotal chapter of McCartney's life with rare honesty and vulnerability.
