The Social Reckoning

From Academy Award-winning writer Aaron Sorkin, the mind behind The Social Network, comes THE SOCIAL RECKONING, a gripping companion piece inspired by the true events behind The Wall Street Journal’s explosive investigation, The Facebook Files. Facebook engineer, Frances Haugen (Academy Award winner Mikey Madison) slowly starts to become disillusioned with her job and the company’s actions towards both preventing and spreading online hate and misinformation. Disturbed by evidence that the company understands the harmful effects of its platforms yet repeatedly places growth and engagement ahead of addressing them. When she connects with investigative journalist Jeff Horowitz (three-time Golden Globe winner Jeremy Allen White), she decides risk everything to expose one of the world’s most influential companies. Featuring an all-star cast alongside Madison and White, including Tony nominee Billy Magnussen and Bill Burr, with Academy Award-nominee Jeremy Strong taking over the role of Mark Zuckerberg, THE SOCIAL RECKONING is a sharp, cutting exploration into the power social media holds in today’s society and how quickly it can be used to spread misinformation and cause destruction.
